My overall language experience was great. The classes were in english for my program, but we had a German converstaion class. Plus I lived with a family and had an internship in the city. I was definitely more comfortable with the language by the end of my time.

The German in Paderborn is easy to understand. the uni has lots of language programs for German and other languages too. The professors/tutors were patient and communicated clearly to me.

I went to Paderborn to work on my German. I took Language courses plus a masters course in English, so I enjoyed the language balance. I made a point of speaking German as much as possible, which is easy to do in Paderborn.

At first I had some problems wiht german, and I talked in english. But I was studying german during 6 months in special courses, and I learnt german enough.

More difficult to improve social German as so many events were with Erasmus society and thus with fellow exchange students.

It gave me the chance to improve both German and English, and I got also interested in other languages like French, Dutch or Arabic.
