Be aware of banks that take advantage of language to sign you up for options you don't want.I would also advise you to keep your bank account open until all that is due to you has been received or it could turn out quite tricky to get your money back.

If French teachers could understand that interaction between teachers and students is a must that would increase ones experiences a great deal.

Personal comments
Communcation in France is a very interesting concept, a lot of talking not much action, things get lost, you get redirected so many times you end up speaking to the first person you spoke to. If you are interested in a year in France, get ready for frustration.

Housing
Type of housing: Apartment/House
Arranged by: Independently - My choice
If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why?
I would chose the very same way due to the fact that I like to organise things myself and am not to keen on relying on university to organise accomodation as it is oftent overpriced and too much 'managed' for my own appreciation.

Personal comments
In Lyon the accomodation is spread out throughout the town, some sites are very convenient and other are in areas that are less attractive. However the metro and busses network is well organised and getting to and from places is no problem at all.
