Learn French before coming here! The Québecer accent is very difficult to understand and they speak as fast as the French. I hardly spoke French at my arrival, and that made it very difficult to communicate with locals, most of my friends were other foreign students. Now, halfway through my exchange, I manage myself, I can speak with Francophones when alone, but in a group it remains a struggle. The university provides French courses, they are reccomended!!
