I studied German for two years before I studied there. I did not feel at ease in any situation when I arrived. I participated in a month-long language course throughout September that is offered at the University of Konstanz. After this course, I felt confident and really felt integrated into the society a lot more than when I had just arrived. Overall, my language and communication was a huge learning experience. I gained much knowledge about the outside world, as well as another language. It created many new views into my own culture and society as well.

My language and communication experience was very good. I began with practically no knowledge of german, but after 10 months of study I was able to apply and get a traineeship in a german bank.

My German improved dramtically in the time I spent at my host university. This was due to a mixture of both self- will and good DAF courses provided by the university.

I definitely improved my German thanks to the language courses offered by the University to all exchange students (great!) and the so-called Tandem Program
