BUY A TRAIN DISCOUNT CARD IF YOU WANT TO TRAVEL TROUGHOUT THE NETHERLANDS; ANYWAY, THERE ARE A LOT OF AIRPORTS IN THE SOORROUNDINGS WHERE YOU CAN FLY WITH CHEAP FARES.

Highlander, it is the best place to share a beer with a couple of friends any day of the week, however on tuesdays it is paramount, as well as the highlander, the metamorphos, where you can meet regular students and also exchange students and dance until the morning

Karneval, Christmas Markets, and the many many many bars and clubs. There is a disco in a converted church, as well. Ideal location for travel - last minute flights from brussels or amsterdam are a short train trip away - went to Spain, Turkey, Hungary, Italy...

The University helps a lot in finding accomodation. The Guesthouse (where I stayed)was a lot of fun, as there was a HUGE ammount of exchange students staying there as well. It had great conditions, and you could meet a lot of people
