Housing
Type of housing: A room in the city, on Campus and a residence
Arranged by: Host university
If returning, I would choose: in the residence - Macandra
Why?
Because even though there are better conditions on campus, Macandra is located in the city and the social life is a lot more intense. (NOTE: the rating of the accomodation is refered to Macandra)

First I lived in a room at De Klomp (in the city) which, apart of being extremely expensive, the conditions were not so good. After I mooved to a very nice room on Campus. Really big, clean, quiet and incredible internet facilities. In the end I moved to Macandra where I met a lot of nice people and also my friends from my course. The conditions are not as good - the room is quite small, no internet and you have to share the kitchen with other 29 people. Still worth it!

the housing on campus are quite nice and have a great computer connection but they are a little far off the city center. i personally would chose Macandra (near the city-center) again. it consits of about 250 students (~80% exchange students). that is really nice to meet people and to chat. the facilities are not so great, dirty and old, expensive and small room. but for me the people were the most important thing. they are great!!

The housing systems are quite standard to the best of my knowledge, also the prices vary depending on the quality of the accomodation.

Although the cost are a bit high, the services are not bad. It is much better than leaving in student houses that are partially or not mentained at all. The arranged of host organizing accommodation is a good idea.

I think the company that gives us the accomodation should take care more often about the common areas (kitchen, living rooms, etc).

as an allergic person accommodation was a disappointment (wall-to-wall carpet, uncleanliness), otherwise everything was well organised (room, keys, info etc.)
