Planet coffee on Newland ave has very goof Hot Chocalate. Which is appreciated on colld ,windy oand wet days. Nite life is not really geared for mature students it is geared towars the 18-21 year olds.If your here in the fall and like fairs go to the Hull Fair. It's suppossed to be the biggest in the world.

Housing
Type of housing: On campus
Arranged by: Host university
If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why?
Campus life is great for a first year student, but after that you want to be more independent.

Great to have a bathroom of your own! Bad that the kitchen only had a micro wave owen and that we had to eat in the canteen. Found it too expensive, but it was nice that they change your beddings every week.

I enjoyed the housemates that I ended up living with and since I am not a first year student, this was definitely a better arrangement than living in the halls. I lived in a non-student neighbourhood and still had all the conveniences of living near to practically everything.

At the University of Hull, I really found a friendly and attractive campus, with excellent facilities such as libraries, a computer centre and a language Institute (there, I had the opportunity to improved my Spanish) Add to it extensive sport facilities, an amazing number of 75 clubs and societies, and I am sure you will certainly find your happiness there! It was a real cosmopolitan experience : 10% of the students are coming from more than 100 countries.

There is always a nightclub with a student night every night of the week. I enjoyed Waterfront, but there are plenty to chose from. And the location of the university is perfect for traveling Europe-airport nearby, train/coach station and ferry dock in the city.
