At home I lived with my parents, so I had no housing and food expenses. In my home country we have a free student travel card all over The Netherlands. In The UK you just get discount on your travel expenses.

London is overall a very expensive city, I was informed about this. I would advice to consider housesharing. I allso had a partime job, for me that was perfect because I earned money, met new people, improved my English and I know how it is to wrk in London.

At the beginning you had to get used to the very British English, which was just a matter of time. Moreover I would say, that the experience was a great advantage when it comes to Business English and technical vocabulary.
