How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?
The Summer Student - Administrative Assistant will support our team with general office admin duties including document management, shredding, help with phones and ad hoc duties.
* The successful candidate will ensure timely completion of tasks under the guidance of office staff.
* Communicate effectively with clients, regional referral sources, and funding sources, including all payers (government, third-party, and private insurance), to acquire any missing data required for account set-up and recurring payments.
* Audit patient information on new and recurring applications, including charts, communication notes, and private insurance.
* Liaise with branch staff to capture missing data and ensure the client's electronic file is accurate and complete. Keep all information confidential to maintain client confidence and protect Vital Aire's operations.
* Audit and track applications from various regional funding sources, including all payers such as government, third-party, and private insurance. Secure funding confi rmation, authorization, and, when applicable, recurring authorizations from all payers. Update regional funding bodies with changes to client profiles.
* Process vendor change requests for various provincial government programs. Maintain client confidence and protect Vital Aire's operations by keeping all information confidential.
* Perform other duties as required

Are you a MATCH?
* Education: Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program (University or College)
* Professional Competencies: Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail, the ability to multitask effectively, and strong interpersonal communication skills.
* Language Skills: Fluency in English (spoken and written) is required.
* Technical Savvy: Proficiency in Google Workspace (Sheets, Slides, Docs) and/or Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint) is essential

Individual compensation packages are based on various factors unique to each candidate, including skill set, experience, qualification and other job-related reasons. This job offers a wage of $20 per hour .
