About the Role
DataSnipper is hiring its first Solutions Architect - someone who'll be the trusted technical voice in our most strategic accounts as we scale our cloud platform and bring agentic AI to regulated industries.
You'll partner closely with our Solution Engineering and Sales teams on our most strategic deals - Big 4 firms, global enterprise accounts, and customers navigating the move from on-prem to cloud. But this isn't just a deal-support role. You'll build the playbooks, reference architectures, and enablement materials that let our entire GTM org handle the hardest technical conversations at scale. And you'll define the SA function itself - the intake model, the KPIs, the engagement playbook - that the next SAs will inherit.
If you thrive at the intersection of deep technical expertise and high-stakes commercial conversations, and you're excited by the chance to build something from scratch rather than step into an established seat, this one's for you.
About DataSnipper
Audit and finance are still massively manual - and we're changing that.
DataSnipper is a $1B, bootstrapped unicorn with 600,000+ users across 180+ countries, already embedded in the daily workflows of top audit and accounting firms. Now, we're taking things further with our Excel Agent - bringing AI directly into where the work actually happens.
Unlike generic AI tools, we don't sit on the sidelines. Our AI operates inside Excel, with access to real documents and audit evidence - meaning it doesn't just generate answers, it does the work, with full traceability.
We're not just applying AI - we're redefining how audit gets done. If you want to build something category-defining at scale, this is the place.
What you will do
* Win the technical conversation in strategic deals. Partner with Solution Engineers and Sales teams on enterprise and Big 4 opportunities. Run security, architecture, and compliance discussions with Heads of IT, CISOs, and InfoSec teams. Be the trusted technical voice that gets us through go/no-go gates.
* Build customer confidence in our cloud journey. Articulate DataSnipper's cloud platform architecture clearly and credibly, covering security, scalability, and compliance by design. Reassure regulated-industry customers that cloud adoption with DataSnipper is safe, compliant, and built for audit.
* Build confidence in agentic AI for regulated markets. Lead the technical narrative on how DataSnipper's AI agents operate inside audit and other regulated environments. Articulate the agent protocols, controls, human oversight, audit trails, and guardrails that make agentic functionality safe, governable, and defensible to CISOs, Heads of IT, and Big 4 advisors. As agentic AI becomes the dominant question in customer conversations, you'll be the person who makes the framework credible.
* De-risk migrations from on-prem to cloud. Lead the technical conversation with existing on-prem customers moving to our cloud platform. Build migration narratives, reference architectures, and risk-mitigation plans that turn hesitant customers into confident advocates.
* Create reusable assets that scale. Produce playbooks, architecture diagrams, FAQs, security one-pagers, and reference materials that enable SEs, Sales teams, and Product to handle most technical questions without an SA in the room. Treat this as a core part of the job, not an afterthought.
* Engage Big 4 and enterprise influencers. Build relationships with Big 4 cloud advisors and Heads of IT at top-tier customers, ensuring DataSnipper's cloud architecture meets the standards they advise their clients to demand.
* Lay the foundation for the SA function. Define the processes, KPIs, intake model, and deal-engagement playbook that the next SA hires will inherit. Help shape how Solutions, Product, and InfoSec collaborate.
* Be the voice of the field internally. Feed patterns from customer conversations back into Product and InfoSec roadmaps, covering what's blocking deals, what reassurances customers need, and what's coming next.
What success looks like
* In your first 3 months: You've built deep working knowledge of DataSnipper's architecture as it stands today, where it's heading, and the technical roadmap behind our cloud and AI transition. You understand what's already in place, what's actively changing, and what's on the table for the next 12 to 18 months, including what's architecturally possible, what isn't, and what trade-offs we're making. You've shadowed key SEs, sat in on live customer security reviews, and built the internal relationships across Product and InfoSec that this role depends on.
* In your first 6 months: You're the trusted technical lead on our top strategic accounts and have personally been in the room for the security and architecture reviews on our most significant active deals. We have meaningful momentum on cloud transitions, with a significant book of business moving from on-prem to cloud with renewed customer confidence, directly attributable to your involvement. You've shipped substantial enablement materials: playbooks, diagrams, security one-pagers, migration narratives, and reference architectures. Critically, the entire SE team has a confident basic talk track on data safety, architecture, and our agentic framework, one they can deliver without you in the room.
* In your first 12 months: Confidence in our cloud and agentic story is now built into how our GTM org operates. Win rate in deals involving CISO or Head of IT review has materially improved, and SEs are running most technical conversations independently using the assets you've built. The migration playbook is in the hands of every CSM working with on-prem customers, and cloud transitions that previously felt stuck are now moving. You've defined the engagement model, KPIs, and hiring plan for the SA function, and we're actively recruiting the next SAs behind you. You're shaping product and security roadmap priorities, not just executing against them.
Who you will work with
You'll work most closely with our Solution Engineering team, your day-to-day partners in deals, and you'll report into the Head of Solutions Engineering. You'll have a direct line into our Product and InfoSec leadership on everything from roadmap input to live customer escalations, and you'll partner with Sales leadership and Sales teams on deal strategy and forecasting for our largest opportunities. Externally, you'll build relationships with Heads of IT, CISOs, and Big 4 cloud advisors at our most strategic accounts, the people whose technical sign-off unlocks deals across their whole client base. As the function scales, you'll help define how the next SAs plug in alongside Solutions, Product, and InfoSec.
What we're looking for
* 5 to 10 years in solution architecture, pre-sales engineering, or technical consulting at a B2B SaaS company, ideally serving regulated industries such as audit, finance, legal, or healthcare.
* Strong working knowledge of public cloud architecture (Azure, AWS, or GCP) including security, identity, networking, data residency, and compliance patterns.
* Demonstrated ability to lead high-stakes security and compliance conversations with enterprise IT, InfoSec, and CISO-level stakeholders, with the ability to translate technical depth into commercial confidence.
* Track record of producing scalable enablement assets such as reference architectures, security one-pagers, and playbooks that let GTM teams operate independently.
* Familiarity with common enterprise compliance frameworks (SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR; SOX and audit-industry standards a strong plus).
* Comfort operating with ambiguity in a foundational role: you'll define the SA playbook here, not inherit one.
* Excellent written and verbal communication in English, comfortable presenting to executive audiences and writing for technical ones.
Nice to have
* Prior exposure to the audit profession, Big 4 firms, or audit-tech buyers.
* Experience supporting on-prem to cloud migrations at scale.
* Background in AI/ML platform deployments in regulated environments, including data residency, retention, and model governance.
* Familiarity with generative and agentic AI architectures, and with the architectural building blocks for document and data hosting at scale, including OCR pipelines, document storage, and processing infrastructure that platforms like DataSnipper rely on.
* Worked closely with Product and InfoSec teams to shape security and compliance roadmaps.
What We Offer
* Be part of one of the fastest-growing, profitable unicorn scale-ups in the Netherlands with a global impact
* Equity (Stock Appreciation Rights) to share the company's success and growth
* Excellent salary package, competitive for top tech talent
* Pension plan with a 6% contribution on top of your base salary
* 28 vacation days per year (full-time) to support your work-life balance
* Hybrid work model with at least 3 days onsite in our dynamic Amsterdam office
* Daily, freshly prepared lunches by our in-house chef to keep you energized
* NS card for easy commuting to the office
* Access to continuous learning and development initiatives to grow your skills
* Engage with a vibrant international team spread across seven global offices
* Company-wide events like DataSnipper GO, where global teams come together
* Access to OpenUp, a mental health and wellness platform supporting your wellbeing
Interview process
* Intro call with our Talent Acquisition team (30 minutes). Role overview, your motivations, and a mutual fit check.
* Conversation with the hiring manager (45 minutes). A deeper look at your background, the scope of the role, and how you'd approach a foundational seat.
* Case study (60 minutes). A structured exercise based on a real scenario you'd face in the role, presented and discussed with a small panel
* Conversation with our Head of Product (30 minutes). How you'd partner across Product and InfoSec, and your perspective on cloud and agentic AI in regulated environments.
* Final conversation with our Sales leadership/CEO (30 minutes). GTM alignment, deal engagement, and shared accountability for outcomes.
