As an Exterior Designer, you will join a fast-paced, creative environment where ideas move from concept to reality. You will shape Volvo's visual identity through innovative, feasible designs aligned with brand values.

What you'll do

Design creation & development
* Develop exterior design proposals for concept and production vehicles
* Develop design proposals for components such as rims, lamps etc.
* Translate sketches into high-quality 3D models with strong surface intent
* Produce sketches, renderings, and visualizations
Execution & delivery
* Deliver designs with speed, precision, and efficiency
* Work across advanced and production programs
* Ensure high aesthetic and brand quality
Collaboration
* Work with designers, engineers, and modelers
* Guide digital and physical model development
* Ensure feasibility and production readiness
Research & benchmarking
* Conduct competitive analysis
* Track trends, technologies, and design movements
Communication
* Present via PowerPoint, VRED, renderings, etc.
* Communicate ideas clearly to creative and technical teams
Tools & workflow
* Use AI and digital tools to improve creativity and efficiency

What you'll bring

Design & technical skills
* Degree in Transportation, Automotive, Industrial Design, or equivalent
* Strong sketching, digital sketching, and rendering skills
* Deep understanding of 3D form and surface quality
* Proficiency in: Alias, VRED, Blender (or other poly modelling software), Photoshop
* AI workflow experience is a plus
