Expectations for this position are 16 - 24 hours per week on-site at our Poway, CA facility.
As an Accounting Intern at BILSTEIN Automotive, you'll gain practical insights and skills essential for a successful career in accounting.
Key Responsibilities:
* Supports the Accounting department with general administration.
* Accurately reconciles customer accounts receivable accounts.
* Follows up with customers on over-due items.
* Reviews and sends monthly statements.
* Accurately sets up new customer & vendor accounts.
* Reviews and sends customer invoices.
* Completes inventory analysis.
* Reconciles logistics monthly spend.
* Exhibits integrity through fair and ethical behaviors in all activities; maintain accountability for performance.
* Ensures compliance and safety of all activities within the organization standards and policies.
* Performs all other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Candidates for the Accounting Intern role should posses the following:
* Currently enrolled in a Bachelors or Masters degree program or recent graduate in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Outlook).
* SAP experience strongly preferred
* Advanced Excel skills
* PowerBI and PowerPivots experience strongly preferred.
* Highly organized with ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
* Strong attention to detail with well-developed organizational skills.

* Valuable experience in the automotive aftermarket industry.
