About bp
As a leading global energy company with a presence in 61 countries, bp's purpose is to deliver energy to the world, today and tomorrow. Across the bp landscape, we're home to a range of brands across many areas of our industry.
We are one of only a few companies that can deliver energy at global scale through a decades-long energy transition. Delivering our strategy sustainably is fundamental to achieving our ambition to be a net zero company by 2050 or sooner.
It's an exciting time to join bp. Challenging projects? You'll have them. Support that actually supports you? We pride ourselves on it. From wellbeing programmes to mentorship and career growth opportunities, we aim to ensure you can thrive - in work and in life. Ready to build your future with us?
Your Early Careers Programme
Early careers who join the People & Culture (Human Resources) will follow a structured development offer to accelerate the acquisition of foundational technical skills, experience and knowledge, and application in the business world. The programme supports transition from university to discipline professional and provides a framework of 'non-technical' skills to support building personal effectiveness skills.
Early Careers Experience at bp
During the programme you'll have the opportunity to complete 2 or 3 rotations designed to give you breadth of experience across P&C whilst also supporting you to build technical depth. These rotations will be complemented by a technical development pathway for your discipline, which outlines the technical competencies you are working towards. Alongside this you'll also complete our Ignite training modules which will support you to build your interpersonal skills.
Throughout the programme you'll have a dedicated support network to provide guidance on the programme and advice on career development. You'll also be a key part of the bp early careers community, with events, socials and the opportunity to network with other early careers from across bp.
Role and Responsibilities
As a Graduate within People & Culture, you will be placed into a rotational programme that provides hands-on, career-specific experience working full-time. You will work on real Human Resources projects and cases that deliver tangible benefits and measurable results. At the same time, you will have the opportunity to learn about and help to solve some of the most important issues we face.
You will experience genuine collaboration, and work alongside highly qualified and experienced colleagues, while you work on live projects and operations, using the latest equipment and technology. Our teams come from all kinds of different cultures and backgrounds - so a career in People & Culture at bp is always going to be exciting, substantial and full of incredible opportunities.
