The university sent a list of accomodation offers of great variety, both private, residences, agencies... I didn't get anything from this list, I made a lot of phone calls and it was really hard to find something. We all thought that the university should have had more to offer, for instance an arrangement with student residences. However, "our" secretary was extremely helpful and very nice and she helped us with a lot of things during the semester.

Pourquoi?

The family was really nice, but you still feel like an intruder. It's just nice to have your own place.

We were all placed with different families in groups of 2-3 students. Before arrival we could fill out a survey about our housing preferences to ensure a good match with the families. I had everything I needed. They even allowed me to use their home computer.

Pourquoi?

Because thats a good way to learn and comprehend the culture of the country, and its a really good way to learn the lenguage also, since you force your self to talk because you need to communicate with the family in the house.

I had no problem in founding an appartement i was luky because when I arrived in Nantes there where a lot of students that where leaving at the same time.
