Good University, Great City
Sarah D
United Kingdom, Undergraduate
Humanities, 2020
Overall
The campus buildings are all within walking distance to the city centre. Amazing nightlife. The teaching is good and there is a real community feel. Free language lessons in lots of languages. It is Europe's best capital city for green spaces with the most square metre per person. The Students' Union is the best in the UK, you can join clubs, societies, volunteer, take free skills development workshops, and there are food and stationery shops, and a bar. It is the rainiest capital city in the UK. Bring an umbrella.

Cardiff University - Languages
Chloe D
United Kingdom, Undergraduate
Language, 2021
Overall
Cardiff University has a very good student life, any day of the week is viable for a night out. All of my lectures are recorded which is very useful as if you miss one, catching up is so easy and you don't lose out on any content. There is a lot of extra help available if you choose to take it up such as academic writing support and maths support. The city is very cheap to live in for the UK and everything is in walking distance.

A great university that allows for so much self-development and opportunities
Tammie T
United Kingdom,
Language, 2025
Overall
I am currently enrolled in a joint honours degree within the Modern Languages department. It has been such a confidence building experience and I have a lot of support within the department and university-wide. Lecturers and seminar leaders are very knowledgeable and supportive, always encouraging students to take up opportunities outside of their course.
