Tübingen University
Arabella S
Germany, Undergraduate
Economics, 2021
Overall
The department of econimcs & business administration is rather small in Tübingen, however i feel that the quality of the course is very high and that you have a wide variety and even take courses at other faculties. One of the best things is the variety of language courses offered in Tübingen, which are all for free and the opportunity two go abroad for one or two semesters. The university is super supportive and organized when it comes to the exchange program and has a lot of partener universities all around the world. The university itself is also very international, with around 10% of exchange students every semester.

If you are going for an exchange of 6 months to 1 year - good choice. If you are staying for the entire duration of your studies - go only if you have no better alternatives.

Tuebingen may be an old University town, but the local discos are dominated either by highschoolers or by adults in their 30s and 40s. A train to nearby Reutlingen (16 minutes) is one's best bet for all night dancing. Walk through the town and uphill to get to Farberei, a large disco with several rooms featuring different musical styles (popular, drum & bass, the ubiquitous techno, or lounge). Make sure to dress appropriately - sneakers and jeans wont get you in. Stuttgart also offers great nightlife and is about 45 minutes away by train. If you don't have the time or money for an all night excursion, the local scene is dominated by small bars. There is also a pleasant biergarten on the banks of the Necker River (the Neckermueler). Fraternity parties (Verbindungs Party) are also popular. Monday night Karaoke at Tangente Night is usually packed, please don't ask me why!

Life and Times of DWIGHT GEORGE SULC

Overall
I completed the JD law program equivalent  in Germany in 1981 in Tuebingen, in German language. I am fluent in both English and German. I am looking for a position in Russia.  I wish to learn Russian language.  I will also accept a position in either the Czech Republic of the Slovak Republic.
I have 30 years experience as a registered investment advisor, including SEC licensed investment broker, plus 30 years experience as university professor of investment analysis, macro-eonomics, international finance, business organization and strategic planning..  I am now 75 years old and require only that I can sit periodically. Standing only for long periods is uncomfortable.
I can comfortably teach 3 languages: English, German and western diatonic music.
Accounting, excel spreadsheets, et al, are no problem.
My first choice is a position in Russia; second choice Czech Republic; third choice Slovakia; Poland might also be a fit.

Besides conducting a full course of graduate study in Tuebingen, 1975-1981, I also enjoyed a Fulbright funded travel grant to Berlin to assist my doctoral work.
