I wish I had known...
I wish I had known how cold it would be in January when I arrived! Also, I wish someone had warned me how long it would take to get my residence permit. I lined up for hours in the cold outside the administrative building only to find that they had misplaced some of my documents. But it only happened to a few of us so maybe it was my bad luck!

IESEG is a great school for students who are looking to take international studies. The courses are very internationally focused. Many of them will focus on doing business abroad, or compare different cultures and how they do business differently. As well, if you are looking to have fun, IESEG is known to be a "party" school with all their open bars, and socials, including the Nuit Prestige Gala. I had a great time. I met many friends from all over the world, and not all, but some of the French students were very hospitable and helpful.

Lille is a great place to study. It's small enough so that you can get almost anywhere by foot, but since it's a University town, there are many places to go out and have fun. As well, from Lille, it's easy to travel around Europe as there are direct train routes to London and Paris.

Integration, Learning and Practice
Theophile d
Luxembourg, Undergraduate
Business Studies, 2021
Overall
Regarding IESEG School of Management, I would first refer to its integration process. Every year, the Student Office is determined to integrate the first years students in IESEG as well as possible in order for them to meet people and create friendships that will last for their entire Bachelor and Master. IESEG has been exceptionally attentive to this point and offered the best integration a university could have asked for. Many student associations are open to students from all years in order for them to contribute to the growth of IESEG's associative life, meet new people and apply their knowledge from class.

The learning process of IESEG involves the active participation of students in both individual and group work in classes such as Finance, Economics, Marketing, Human Resources, Statistics and many others. These classes are taught by professional teachers, who are mostly available at all time for any further questions. The learning process is divided between the years. First year includes the fundamentals of business, such as Finance, Marketing, Economics and Accounting and are taken to a deeper level in second and third year which gives us time to focus on the subjects we prefer and enables us to choose a Master degree to pursue in IESEG.

Lastly, the "practice" involves the compulsory internships at the end of each academic year, which enables the students to put their knowledge from their academic year in practice and to gain experience from real-life situations.

This school really goes out of its way to welcome international students. Take advantage of all the opportunities it provides. I would highly recommend this university to anybody looking to study abroad in France.

Make sure you get a Carte 12-25 from SNCF (Train company) if you come here. It will help you save quite a lot of money. Try to get a debit card that has a smart chip in it, it makes things more convenient. There are a lot of machines that will not except a debit/credit card with just a magnetic strip.

A complete management education
Clarisse B
France, Graduate
Marketing and Sales Management, 2022
Overall
IESEG teaches a wide variety of general management courses during the first 3 years of study, which allows students to get a complete management education. Then for the specialization in master, courses are common to all students to have a complete mastery of the subject then options are available to specialize in the fields that we like. The professors are from all over the world, which offers different ways of teaching. Finally, it is possible to study abroad, to participate in events, to have access to a developed network and to join various associations and clubs.
