It is slightly more expensive to live in Italy than it is at home and i believe i spent more because it felt like i was on holiday most of the time (if it wasnt for the rain)

I got another Erasmus grant towards the end of the semester which i did not know i was going to get. Cost saving tips are to take some cooking utensils with you as i had to buy them here because they did not tell me that they would not be provided. Alsocook in groups it work out cheaper.

I found myself eating out alot but if you are prepared to make your own food you could limit spending. I did not use the telephone in my room much. My parents called me. I travelled alot>> The cost of alcohol was expensive. Accomadation was more expensive than in Ireland

Food was cheaper in Italy than in Finland, but we ate often in restaurants which I don´t do often in Finland. I also spent quite much on travelling, because it was a very good opportunity to visit many palces in Italy.

save save save before you go out. As it is impossible to pick wok up. You will enjoy it alot more if you don't get carried away in the 1st month and shop around for the cheapest supermarket.

The price level was more or less the same as back home, but since I took part in a lot more activites (travelling and so on) I spend more money than at home. We also went out to eat very often, which was quite costly.

If you are not too lazy (like me), try to use the kitchens available at campus. It will save you a lot of money!
