My period as Erasmus student was definitely an opportunity to increase my knowledge of German , nevertheless there are no doubts that when I had travelled alone for the same reason I had learn much more in less time . For sake of time most Erasmus preferred to use also other languages and not only necessary German.

Last year in Berlin has been a great experience for my German's knowledge. At first I just could say basic phrases to go shopping... but I have gone to some University's German Courses and to one good Academy of languages and I have "fixed" my comunication problems. Anyway Berlin is an amazing city where anyone can speak English too. Now I consider that I have a good level in German and I am trying to search ways to make it better.

I'm quite good at English and now I'm working on Germany,trying to improve it.So many people in university and in the city speak English pretty good,barely leave me chance to practice German.

living in berlin has helped more than going to university. i had the chance to talk and live with locals, that was the biggest help

It was really interesting to ameliorate my german language through the everyday life (life with a german rootmate) and to have courses in german AND in english.
