In the beginning I had problems to understand people and express myself but after some weeks I was able to understand around 70 of the language.

Especially the six weeks-Erasmus Intensive Course at the Faculty of Letters in September and October was the best that could happen to us, speaking in language and social terms

Portuguese is a difficult language. To a lot of people it sounds like russian. But learning another language is worth a lot.

it is hard to speak portuguese when with other international students but in campus it is in overall the best way to learn the language

PORTuguese is hard...much harder than spanish..I wud advise you to learn the best you can some portuguese phrases...it's very helpful!
