I wish I had known...
Never take more than you need with you. It became a hassle to have too much luggage especially because by the time you leave there is so much you have accumulated shopping.

Explore the facility and become involved with their international student's network. Italian students run activities for international students. Do not be afraid to interact with the locals, they are more than willing to help. Italians are generous people so do not be intimidated.

Make sure that you apply on time for courses at Bocconi through your nearest Italian consulate. Once you are there make sure you talk to people about the city, it can be dangerous if you look like a tourist. Always carry an I.D. and do not forget to take a map with you and buy transportation tickets before going on the tram/bus/or metro.

While beeing in Milan you have a great opportunity to travel where ever you like, because all the low-cost airlines fly from Milan. And even if you don't speak Italian you will still manage perfectly.

Good and internationally well-known university, but...

Economics, 2020
Overall
Bocconi University is one of the best universities (if not the best one) in Italy for economics. And it's not just its fame, it's the international environment, the high quality courses, the job opportunities and the campus facilities that it provides, what makes it so famous. However, sometimes professors are not as disposable as you might think to help you with projects or for additional clarifications about the topics covered at lectures. Though, the overall quality of the teaching is high and the university doesn't only proposes its students meaningful knowledge, but also important life experiences.

Pros
Good campus/ prepared teachers/ interesting courses in social sciences and economics
Cons
exams every 1.5 months / too few group projects for Bachelor's students
