My Italian was sufficient for dealing with everyday situations before I arrived in Bologna. The longer I spent there the more I learned. The place where I learned more Italian than anywhere else was at home with my roommate since she was Italian. By the end of my stay I could understand and be understood in virtually any situation.

i loved italian before i went to Italy and before i learnt it, and working at the complany i worked fot gave the chance to improve still more my italian and english (most of the time the english was the job language)

My studies was in english and I spoke it pretty god before. In order to learn Italian I spend a lot of time with Italian students and took some courses. It helped me a lot, so now I speak it very god.

It was rather difficult at the beginning, but I could speak English, so everything was ok. Then, my italian friends helped me very much, so it was quite easy to learn. The worst thing : the oral exams in italian.

The experience was really fine, at the beginning it was not that easy to understand the italian accent and to speak fluently but at the end I seemed another local at Bologne.

For spanish people, the italian language is easier than others, I didn´t have many problems to acquire a medium level in a short time, and with that level I could make a "normal" life
