All of the courses which I took in this University were in English, it was not a problem for me. However, it was not the case when I was out of the campus. Luckily most of the people there I met were friendly, they tried to understand what I said and then responded to my question.

My communication experience was amazing. When I first arrived to France I spoke almost no french but the daily live and the need of communication forced me to speak french,which I improved a lot. The overall result was outstanding.

French people do not speak english too much. In shops, parties, offices and other public places you need to speak french. At university most of the people speak also english, so if you do not speak french, you can still study there without problems.

It did improve my knowledge of the culture but I was fluent in French beforehand as I had been to a French school for 10 years.
