You have to see Valencia's "barrio Carmen", where you can find lots of bars and cafes and dance clubs. If interested in sports, attending a soccer game at the Mestalla stadium (Valencia CF) is a must. After the game, go to one of the bars that are spread throughout the city. Nightlife starts at around 12. Favorite places: "Woodstock", "Warhol" some places on the Avda. de Aragon. To hang out, swim and play beach volleyball, go to the main beach. If you can, make sure to be there in March for the "Fallas", the greatest festival I have ever been to!

Valencia, famous a couple of years ago for ´la ruta bakalao´ unfortunately lacks in quality clubs. The better clubs like Puzzle and Chocolate are outside of Valencia and you need to get a taxi there and public transport back to Valencia in the morning. Bars, well el barrio del Carmen is really the place to be. Other areas outside of the centre are situated along la avenida Blasco Ibañez, but the fact that all these places are at the bottom of apartment buildings, there really isn´t much outdoor atmosphere, you actually have to go into any given place to see what it´s like. That´s where el barrio del Carmen (el Carme) is great, especially in the warmer months where you can sit in the old streets and watch the people passing by. Probably the most important thing to remember is that no one is out before midnight, and don´t even ...

Valencia is a city full of energy; there are a lot of things to see and do on your free time and especially I could say that I loved travelling outside of the city and Spain; easy and cheap to go everywhere if u r up for it! If I would have to recommend something out of Valencia I would definately say small cafes, bars and if you are interested in sports there is a lot of variety but u have to be active. Carmen, Gran Via, and Blasco Ibañez are ideal for going out and my favourite places were Cafe Paris, Cafe Madrid, Tony Roma's (the best dessert in the world), Fresc Co (really good buffet), and the best restaurant for eating paella: Pepica, on the beach, on the far end near the harbour. There are plenty of bars and discos to go, just don't miss the light life!

I traveled as much as i could. I visit a South Part of the Spain, Islands and Madrid with Barcelona. In Alcoy are many nice small cafes, club like in every city. The best things in Alcoy were mountains with a beautiful view on a city and parks all arround.

Don't miss Las Fallas. Discover Barrio Carmen, plaza Xuquer... Nightlife is "Spanish", and not so "cosmopolitic" as in BCN, what can be an advantage! Large drum'n'bass scene in VLC.
