The Role
This role will coordinate cross-functional teams across architecture, development, testing, infrastructure, data, and operations to ensure that modernization activities are executed according to scope, quality, timeline, and business expectations. The lead will also support the definition of the modernization roadmap, identify technical risks, drive issue resolution, and ensure alignment between the converted application, business rules, functional requirements, and target architecture.

Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the execution of application modernization workstreams, including legacy analysis, code conversion, remediation, integration, and stabilization.
* Coordinate development teams, technical SMEs, architects, testing teams, and operations teams.
* Validate that modernized applications meet functional, technical, security, and performance requirements.
* Identify risks, dependencies, blockers, and mitigation actions related to modernization delivery.
* Ensure alignment between legacy functionality, business rules, and the target application architecture.
* Support planning and execution of coexistence scenarios between legacy and modernized platforms.
* Drive technical governance, defect resolution, prioritization, and delivery tracking.
* Provide executive-level status updates, risks, actions, and recommendations.
* Support transition to RUN, production readiness, and knowledge transfer activities.

Who You Are
Required Skills and Experience:
* Experience leading application modernization, legacy transformation, or large-scale application migration programs.
* Strong background in application development, architecture, integration, and delivery management.
* Experience with COBOL, Mainframe, Java, Cloud, APIs, databases, or batch processing is highly desirable.
* Ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams across development, testing, infrastructure, and operations.
* Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile/Waterfall delivery, testing cycles, production readiness, and governance.
* Strong problem-solving, stakeholder management, and executive communication skills.
* Experience managing technical risks, defects, dependencies, and delivery escalations.
