YOUR ROLE AT ZEGNA
As Accounts Receivable Trainee, based in New York, you will bring your unique strengths to the Accounting team, helping us ensure the accurate and timely processing of customer payments, account reconciliations, and receivables administration. This role offers a valuable opportunity to build a strong foundation in accounting and finance while gaining hands-on experience within a global luxury organization.
You'll work closely with the Accounts Receivable Manager to support day-to-day accounting operations, contribute to process improvements, and develop the skills needed for a successful career in finance.
HOW YOU BRING IT TO LIFE

* Assist with the preparation, review, and distribution of customer invoices.
* Process and accurately apply incoming payments to customer accounts.
* Support the monitoring of accounts receivable aging reports and assist with collections activities.
* Research and resolve payment discrepancies, deductions, and account issues.
* Perform customer account reconciliations and maintain accurate account records.
* Assist with month-end close activities related to accounts receivable.
* Maintain organized financial documentation and records in accordance with company policies.
* Respond to internal and external inquiries regarding invoices, payments, and account balances.
* Prepare reports and spreadsheets to support the Accounting and Finance teams.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve billing and payment-related matters.
* Participate in special projects and process improvement initiatives as assigned.
* Continuously develop accounting knowledge through training, mentorship, and hands-on learning opportunities.
WHO YOU ARE

* You bring at least 6 months of experience in accounting, finance, or a related field.
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
* Excellent organizational, time-management, and analytical skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office Suite; SAP experience is a plus.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
* Eagerness to learn and grow within a professional accounting setting.
* Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team.
* Demonstrates professionalism, accountability, and a proactive mindset.

* The pay for this position is $25/hour.
