Key Exciting Responsibilities
* Prepare working papers to support financial entries and complete analysis of financial information.
* Complete the Financial Statements for the New Zealand and Australian Companies.
* Assist in audit field work, responding to audit requests, identifying and interpreting data.
* Prepare Tax working papers to support the tax position of New Zealand and Australian entities.
* Support the wider Finance Team with year-end close, including journals and balance sheet reconciliations.
* Identify and implement process improvements.
Essential Skills & Experience
* Completing a Bachelor's degree in Accounting / Finance or similar at a New Zealand University
* Excellent knowledge of Excel/Google Sheets
* A drive for efficiency to effectively meet tight deadlines
* Flexible approach to working in a changing environment and can work well under pressure
* Ability to analyse data and suggest conclusions/recommendations to others
* Proactive, collaborative communication style and a drive for continuous learning
* Ability to think critically and work independently while maintaining an analytical approach and high attention to detail.
* Curiosity and willingness to learn
* Must be legally authorised to work in New Zealand without the need for company sponsorship
