Overall
After receiving Swedish Institute scholarship to study at Chalmers University of Technology in Sweden. This is one of the joyful day in my life on 2016. In my point to view graduate study a sequel to undergraduate study opens up newer avenues to explore and gives one a wider range of career objectives. I have done my master in Structural Engineering and this programe mostly based on project and hard calculations. After the two year of my study at Chalmers I have a confident in the use of ABAQUS FEM Modelling,  AutoCAD with MS Office skills and Simulation more widely. Previously I have some experience in teaching and professional work in building construction sector, that help me a lot during my study.

The university should focus not only on the study but also on the cultural exchange among the new students.

For the very first time of my life I enjoyed the snowfall in Goteborg. It was really exciting. Chalmers University of Technology is very famous and I am proud to be a Chalmerist ( student of Chalmers). Winter becomes quite unbearable and it is recommended to bring some extra and waterproof warm clothes.

Its a good technical University. But the economy slowdown has its effect on this university too. Jobs or thesis are difficult to get at the end of course. But if you want a very good education You can definitely choose Chalmers.

Food is almost the same price. You get more choice when it comes to international food, which I like.

Nightlife and eating out is where you will spend more money. I advise you to eat at home, cook you food. Restaurants don't seem that good. Pizzas and Kebabs have good price and you can get nice quality. Summary: If you want very nice/gourmet food do it yourself. If you want to eat out, I think Pizza and Kebab house are what is worth. Nevertheless, at lunch its quite cheap to eat out at most places/restaurants, there is lunch menus everywhere. That is worth once in a while. Lunch at Chalmers can also be a cheap an nice experience, try the vegetarian buffet at the canteen.

It is a good university, the best in Sweden together with KTH of Stockholm...It has a good international and domestic reputation among companies and in the academic world.May be, for someone would be difficult to get udjusted to the dark weather and the coldeness during the winter..It will be difficult to interact with Swedish students as well since they are conservative to my impression..But the experience to get to know a different academic approach and a different culture plus the highly valued international context makes the experience a very good one!

A helpful advice is to shut down all the prejudices once in Sweden and start to interact with the local environment from scrap..It will make the permanence easier in the beginning and funnier afterward.

I think that the living costs both in Italy and Sweden are pretty similar on average..Sweden is convenient for cheaper housing and communication services (utilities) but Italy is cheaper in travelling (hotels, transportation)..therefore on average, I spent the same amount of money in Sweden as I would have done in Italy.

IA good surprise was the housing and food were cheaper or as costly as in Italy as in Italy..The expenses were all reasonablefor an italian purchasing power...Very difficult to identify cost saving tips since prices in Sweden are all quite standard and vary little from an alternative to another.
