Varney A
Sweden, Graduate
Marketing and Sales Management, 2021
Overall
The course Branding in culture prospective is driven on the bases of cultural orientation in advertising, promotion and marketing campaign most especially in international marketing. The course has a lot of theoretical frameworks, and helps to guide marketers in the strategies that would provide them with the requisite understanding of the culture, historicity, values, norms and believes in promoting a brand in international markets. furthermore, it depicts a clearer picture as to how a brand can resonate meaning, the strength and its values. The lecturers are highly skilled and have a resounding fundamental understanding of the study at hands. The course adopts a seminars, field work and hands on experience. The University is one of the ranking universities in terms of faculties, campus based, the environment and application of knowledge and skills in various disciplines.

Business Studies, 2023
Overall
The course that I took is International Business and Politics Bachelors' programme, which I found fairly interesting. The best part is the structure of studies where you focus on 1 subject per month, so you go deep into the course for 1 month, take an exam and move on. This allows for full focus and more free time.

I wish I had known...
I wish I had known better the swedish psyche, so I could interact better with them from the start. They are a bit more cold than what I am used to, and breaking the ice takes quite a while.

Stockholm is a great city. People, even though not instantly warm, are helpful and civilized. You can travel quite easily by boat to other countries (recommend getting a friend with a car, or renting one yourself to go visit nearby cities). And try not to miss Kiruna up in the north (wether you go by train or plane). The lack of light and cold sucked the energy out of your body, but hey, it was a different and new experience. Go to Stockholm and just try to go out and visit as many places as possible; you'll have fun if you have the right company!

In winter you should go to Lappland in the very north of Sweden. It was the best experience for me. But Stockholm itself is absolutely fantastic as well!

Very good uiniversity in an amazing town. Downtown is very closed with the subway. For the law courses in english, you won't find a lot of local students.

Housing
Type of housing: On campus
Arranged by: Host university
If returning, I would choose: On campus
Why?
You get to know a lot of other erasmus and local students. The interaction in the corridor where I lived was just great. It is also close to the university and via subway, to the city centre.

Unfortunately construction works were being done to the bathrooms while I was there, so we had 4 months of contruction works (with 1 month in my own bathroom), which involved waking up to construction workers coming to work at 7:30 am every week day talking very loudly in swedish. Apart from that, it was a bit boring to walk the 15 minutes to univerity, but hey, im a lazy bastard who is used to always driving.
