Life in Vienna is generally more expensive than in Montreal where I used to live plus I had a very intensive life there : going out 5 times a week, travelling around Austria and abraod every weekend, shopping etc.

Vienna is quiet an expensive city,at least compaired to mine.I think,apart from food I think housing is the most expensive category...I used to pay 700 euros for a monolocal!!
