Good but...

Overall
As a student at Dauphine University's London campus, I have had a mostly positive experience, but there are a few areas where I think the university could improve.

One of the biggest issues I have encountered is the overall organisation of the university. There have been a few instances where communication has been unclear or delayed, making it difficult to plan my schedule and stay on top of deadlines. Additionally, I have found that the administrative processes can be slow and frustrating, with long wait times and a lack of transparency about what is happening.

Another area where I think Dauphine University falls short is in their support for students' professional projects. While the university offers internships and other opportunities for practical experience, I have not found that they are particularly helpful in guiding me towards opportunities that align with my specific career goals. There is a lack of career services and mentorship programs that would be beneficial to students who are looking to develop their professional skills and networks.

Overall, while I have enjoyed my time at Dauphine University's London campus, there are definitely some areas where the university could make improvements to better support their students.

Course recommendations
At least for me the priority was to learn how to speak french really, and then it's a good idea to take courses where you have to work in teams. There are two reasons; first, that's how you get to know local students, and second, it helps you a great deal to passe the courses. The local students knows how to work and what the teachers expect to get good grades.

Personal comments
As (almost) always, it's the bureaucracy that causes the problems, if there are any. Furthermore, the teachers were often very late to let the students know the results of the exams, which could be very annoying. For instance, if you don't know the results of the midterm exams when you're supposed to study for the final ones.

There should be a distribution of financial funds that better matches the real life-expenses in the host countries or even in different cities. As daily life in Paris was extremely expensive regarding the overall costs, I cannot understand that there is such a little financial compensation for students going abroad to Paris.

Dauphine is a name talking to almost everyone in France! Its reputation is undisputed! On the other hand, lots of hard work attends any students wanting to profit from this reputation.

Interested students should carefully consider the pros and cons of a participation in the PDD mentioned above. Travel tips: Paris offers you a lot - may be more than you can see during 1,5 years. Unfortunately there isn't a lot of time to travel and discover the country. One should definitely participate in the following events: - Ski-Etudes, one week in March(?!) in the snow with courses at the face you have to attend to get to ski pass! Great experience! - Week end d'integration, students communities organise these events at the start of the academical year. You leave Paris for a non-stop party - 2/3 unforgettable days where you definitely get in contact with many cool people...

I don't really have one, it did and didn't meet my expectations of what it would have been like as an institution. I don't really think that it is a suitable match sociall for students coming from Kingston University as our social life is a lot better. Academically, the courses were good. I would say that I had a good educational experience.

To sum up my stay at Dauphine University and Paris itself, I would say that I have had a good experience of other cultures, and it has been great to meet so many different people through ERASMUS and other countries! My advice would be to not have too many expectations as you may be disappointed in some areas;(dependant on your home lifestyle/ experiences). Other than that, be open minded and take the time to absorb the culture, travel, meet people and have fun!! I hope that you all get what you want from travelling and studying abroad!

If you're able to take courses in the foreign lanuage then I would recommend that you do it. It's an interesting way to learn about their way of learning/ teaching and you can also meet students from the host university this way.

Going to a university in Paris is quite stressful if you're used to a very efficient administration team...if you can get through the first month or so dealing with all the admin dilemas then you'll be fine!
