Job Summary

The Automation Jr. Engineer I at Jabil, Inc. supports the design, development, and implementation of automated systems and processes, contributing to efficiency and innovation in manufacturing operations.

Job Responsibilities

* Assist in the design, development, and testing of automation solutions, including robotics, PLCs, and control systems.
* Support the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of automated equipment and machinery.
* Collaborate with senior engineers to identify opportunities for process improvement and automation.
* Participate in the creation and review of technical documentation, schematics, and operating procedures.
* Conduct basic programming and configuration of automation components under supervision.
* Perform routine diagnostics and preventative maintenance on automated systems.
* Adhere to safety protocols and quality standards in all automation activities.
* Provide technical support to production teams as needed.

Job Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related field.
* Basic understanding of PLC programming (e.g., Siemens, Rockwell) and HMI development.
* Familiarity with industrial automation concepts, sensors, actuators, and control systems.
* Knowledge of robotic systems and their applications is a plus.
* Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
* Prior internship or project experience in automation or manufacturing environments is desirable.
