Regional Media & Digital Manager Americas (f/m/d)

About the role
As Regional Media & Digital Manager, you will translate Essity's global media, digital, and category strategies into structured regional execution across Americas (USA, Canda, LatAm) covering multiple country clusters and categories, and leading a team of Media & Digital Managers and Regional Digital Media Specialists.
You will act as the critical link between global strategy and market delivery, driving consistent implementation of media frameworks, tools, and governance standards across all clusters within the region.
Working in close partnership with the Global Media & Performance Director and the Sr. Global Media & Digital Manager, you will ensure high execution quality, scalability of media approaches, and alignment across markets and stakeholders.
What You Will Do
Regional Strategy Leadership & Execution Oversight
* Translate global media and category strategies into regional standards and rollout plans across clusters, ensuring consistent execution quality and alignment with growth frameworks.
* Lead the regional Media for Growth roadmap, ensuring adoption of global frameworks, tools, and performance principles across all markets.
Team Leadership & Capability Development
* Lead and develop a team of Media & Digital Managers and Specialists, driving performance, coaching, and capability building across clusters.
* Enable adoption of advanced tools and best practices (e.g. MMM, AI, attention metrics, retail media), ensuring consistent application of global standards.
Regional Budget Strategy & Oversight
* Define and recommend regional media investment strategies, validating and challenging cluster-level budget proposals to ensure alignment with global frameworks.
* Monitor budget efficiency and ROI, translating media outcomes into clear, business-relevant insights for stakeholders.
Global & Regional Alignment
* Act as the key regional advisor to global stakeholders, providing market insights, performance analysis, and investment recommendations, while ensuring compliance with global governance, frameworks, and agency standards.
* Drive alignment across markets and stakeholders, ensuring consistent execution of global planning processes, adoption of tools and standards (e.g. DREAM, The Engine, MMM, AI), and integration of regional plans into global frameworks.
Agency & Commercial Governance
* Lead regional agency governance and performance management, ensuring delivery against KPIs and adherence to global standards.
* Oversee commercial agreements, pricing benchmarks, and commitment tracking, ensuring value delivery across markets.
Performance Leadership & Insights
* Own regional performance tracking (e.g. MMM, ROI, eSOV, attention metrics), ensuring data quality and consistency across markets.
* Translate performance insights into strategic recommendations, identifying growth opportunities and optimization levers.
Innovation & Transformation
* Drive implementation of global innovation initiatives (e.g. AI, retail media) and adapt them to different levels of market maturity.
* Lead test-and-learn programs across markets, scaling successful approaches to improve performance and efficiency.
Who You Are
* 7-10+ years in media planning and buying; strong multi-market or regional experience in FMCG/CPG or leading media agency.
* Comprehensive media expertise: brand-building channels (TV, OLV, digital display) and performance channels (search, social, programmatic).
* Proven experience managing media budgets at regional or multi-market scale with full commercial accountability.
* Strong stakeholder management skills, able to build trust and influence with senior marketing leaders and agency partners.
* Experience within global media governance frameworks; able to apply global standards to local market realities.
* Data-driven and analytically strong; comfortable with media measurement tools and MMM/attribution frameworks.
* Collaborative, structured, proactive, i.e. operates independently across a large, complex matrix.
* Proven experience leading teams in a complex environment.
* Fluency in English required; regional languages an advantage.

This role is based in one of Essity's offices: Santa Fe (Mexico), Medellín Cortezza (Colombia) or Philadelphia (USA).
