1) Job Purpose

The main purpose of this job is to promptly settle all legitimate claims/benefits falling within the authority limit and within the IRDA stipulated time.

2) Principal Accountabilities

Supporting Actions

Assess & approve the Claims in order to ensure that only valid claims are settled.

* Scrutinize all Claims including complex claims.
* Settle/initiate action within approved limits.

Prepare the Claim Processing Sheet in a prescribed format so that concerned Authority knows the gist of the case while approving the claim.

* For case beyond the limits scrutinize and prepare documentation for presentment in a prescribed format to the next level within TAT.

Obtain the Claim Documents by following up with relevant sources in order to process the claim.

* Follow up with Branch / Claimant to arrange for the Claim Documents
* Follow up with the Third Party Agencies such as Investigator / Translator for the Claim documents.

Provide inputs for developing Claims System to cater to all general needs.

* Provide necessary data and inputs to the system development team.
* Carry out testing of the system to ensure a desired result has been achieved
